thanks for writing this warning!

i really find it naive to answer or even read these letters, but on the other hand I wonder how many people seem to believe in the matter of these ones.
some people are that hard: they phone older women and tell them to be their son. then these women should remit money to them, because they pretend to be ill or had an accident.

its hard, that people today are mad enough to play with feelings of others, who are way more fragile than they are.

Thanks for the warning but I have been getting such scam letters for years, but I have noticed the scammers are getting wiser, by actually answering some of your questions or buying some thing from you by cheque for too much or over the price, then you give them the change in cash but the cheque proves worthless.
They also have fake bank sites with convincing links and letters.
I have never been scammed, but I know that in Nigeria and Africa Scamming is the main profession there, and so many stupid westerners do fall for their scams. What is ironic is that we donate our old PCs to Africa and then they use them to rob us. Twisted Evil

Watch also for dating scammers. I did post a thread here and at VNBoard a year or so ago, when I was contact by Triinu Kivilaan who wanted to date me! Surprised Razz Laughing

Simple rule - never send anybody anything unless it's to me.
